It is common to start with thunder sounds and hail will begin. Once the hail has come down, you will probably dash indoors for shelter as they can hurt if they hit you depending on the rate they fall.

You will tell the family to agree on a meeting place in the house, where you will go to as soon as the storm starts. The safe spot will be away from the windows, many will choose the basement or another area away from the walls of the outdoors. • Finally, you will need a tornado supply kit, which will include a first aid kit, medication, tinned food, a tin opener if the food does not have ring pulls, lots of water, clothing, blankets, torch, radio, pet food if necessary, and batteries.
