However, every athlete needs to develop a tennis training schedule that constitutes regular practice, resulting in regular improvement of athletic skills.

How to plan tennis training sessions

  • It is important that tennis training sessions are not too far apart, so that the individual can maintain a specific level of fitness. Busy individuals can aim to train once a week; but those who desire to improve quickly need to have at least a couple of sessions per week. Training sessions are customarily up to an hour, but those who have been practicing for several years prefer to extend it to two hours. It is always advised to start training according to one's fitness level, and then progressively increase the sessions.
