How to Install a Full-size Refrigerator in a Travel Trailer

Travel trailers are commonly used for road trips and family vacations. They are handy because they hold areas to shower, sleep and even eat. Hobs are usually built into certain travel trailers, but to eat well on a vacation it is essential to install a full-size refrigerator in a travel trailer.

Making space for your refrigerator

• Before you begin to install a full-size refrigerator in a travel trailer, you should be aware of the space it is going to fit into. You should have a rather large rectangular cut out area, with extra space at the back for wires, machinery and fuel supplies.
• If you already have a space that would be perfect to install a full-size refrigerator in a travel trailer, then that has saved you a job. But if you need to create a space, you may need some help. 
• The enclosure where the refrigerator should be place would ideally have plywood panels that are solid on both sides, the top and also the bottom. Ensure there is room in front of the refrigerator to open and close the door.

• Often, anchor points in the feet secure refrigerators. Following this step, your refrigerator should be left for a few hours where you can then test its operation and see if the installation has been a success.
